Celebrating Powerhouse Contract Managers!
World Congress is the nation's leading training event for contract management, procurement, and acquisition professionals in Grapevine TX, July 13-16, 2025.
A powerhouse is a source of influence or inspiration from one having great drive, energy, and ability. This year’s World Congress theme recognizes the crucial impact our profession has on agencies, organizations and missions. Are we focused on innovation and what’s next? Yes. Are we continually leveraging the wisdom of the past? Yes. Amid a demanding environment that never seems to slow its pace, we feel that it is important to pause together to reflect on and celebrate our successes. Learning and networking side by side, this is our chance to convene as a mighty profession – driving the deals that make our nation run and succeed.
A Note from the Learning & Development Team
Thank you for considering submitting a proposal to speak at World Congress 2025! Each year our community brings forward important topics and shares its expertise. We cannot do what we do without you!
World Congress sessions inspire, bring concrete takeaways, and drive meaningful collaboration, leveraging NCMA’s neutral buyer-seller forum.
New conversation-style sessions are facilitated discussions that tackle important challenges facing our workforce. We are also excited to bring a new Powerhouse Success Story track. Drawing from our theme, this track is geared toward teams sharing accomplishments with the community!
This year, all lifecycle skill and power skill sessions will be delivered in a 2-hr format. We feel that sessions designed to teach skills require time for meaningful practice. We are looking for submissions that are clear about the new skills attendees will leave with. We encourage new ideas for making content immersive. Attendees feel that WOW factor when they have truly gained something new, and they have made a connection to their own work. Think of lightbulbs going off!
Also new this year, we have provided detailed information about the types of sessions and the topic types that will go in each format. These are intended to guide your topic and submission to best serve attendees.
No matter what session topic area or type, we ask you to lead with the WHY; why the topic should be selected above others and what attendees will get.
We thank you for your time reading through our notes below before you craft your session proposal. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. We cannot thank you enough and can’t wait to see the topics you bring forward to make this the best World Congress yet!
